HandyTone -286 Reset Factory Default (Password Recovery)

If you have this device the default password is admin, but if it doesn’t work you should go through this steps and be aware that this process delete all old configuration of device and I’m not responsible for this.

1- First of all disconnect network cable and turn off device then turn it on

2- Find the MAC address of the device it may be on the bottom of it.

3- replace the mac address using this mapping:

0-9: 0-9

A: 22

B: 222

C: 2222

D: 33

E: 333

F: 3333

For example, if the MAC address is 333b4444e555, it should be encoded as

"3332224444333555".

4- Pick up the phone:

a. Press "***" or the LED button  

b. Enter "99" and get  "Reset" message (if you don’t hear this, it may be because of your provider they set lock keypad update to yes so there is no way to reset the device)

c. Enter the encoded MAC address of the device.

d. Wait for 15 seconds.

The device will reboot automatically and restore to factory default setting.
