Prevent administrator password 2008 R2 reset


As you know, windows server 2008 password can be reset easily.
If you want to prevent someone who have physical access to your server from reset admin password, you can encrypt your Windows drive using Bitlocker.
Unfortunately if your server restarts, it will need the USB key for boot.
You can safely do this if you are familiar with the Bitlocker.

1. Enable Bitlocker feature on the Server .



2. Restart the Server.

3. On your windows drive turn on your bitlocker .
  • Start a  CMD window as admin & change directory focus to C:\windows\system32\
  • Run the command  manage-bde.exe –on C: -rp –sk A:
  • Restart the machine. 
C: refers to your windows drive and A: refers to USB key.




4. Make sure you store the recovery key in a safe place.


  • Open Bitlocker Drive Encryption by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Bitlocker Drive Encryption.‌
  • Click Manage BitLocker, and then follow the instructions.


5. After your server boots, unplug the key.

Autocad  (Licensing: The security system (Softlock license manager) is not functioning or is improperly installed)





  • Start your computer in safe mode
  • Locate this files :

C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data
C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data.backup


  • Rename files extensions to ".old"
  • Restart your computer and boot normally then reactive Autocad

Prestashop Bankwire module goes to blank page


Problem: Prestashop Bankwire module goes to blank page

This may happen to your shop, customer select bankwire payment method and in the final step it goes to  a blank page with this URL:  module/bankwire/validation   that make customers confused.

There is some solutions:

1- Disable and enable the friendly URL option to regenerate .Htaccess file.
2- Clearing the cache.
3- Uninstall the bankwire module and installing it again.

How to download and update definitions of Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager offline

Symantec endpoint manager antivirus definitions can be updated via .jdb file which you can download it from below link address, so you can update Symantec endpoint antivirus definitions either offline!
Here an step by step (with pictures) instruction :
1.    First go to this link and download file with .jdb extention at the bottom of page :



2.    Make sure the downloaded file has .jdb extention and if it doesn’t rename the file extention to .jdb.




3.    Copy downloaded file (the .jdb file) to :
If your server is 32 bit : C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\inbox\content\incoming
If your server is 64 bit:C:\Program Files(x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\inbox\content\incoming
This locations are defaults.
4.    After about 30 second you will see a folder created in above path.



5.    If this not happened, make sure you copied and not moved the file.
6.    Wait at least 10 minutes.
7.    If there is no file or folder in the “incoming”  folder, then your server is updated.

How to find discovery service URL in crm 2013


Discovery Service is a web service which let 3rd party applications determine the organizations that a particular user belongs to. It provides information such as the organization friendly name, URL endpoints, unique id, version, unique name, URL name.
For determine the discovery service URL :
1.    Log into CRM web interface with administrator credential



2.    Click on “EASY NAVIGATE”
3.    Type “customization” or just click on customization

 



4.    Click on “ developer resources”
